The LIFE Outstanding Alumni Award is an annual award for LIFE alumni that recognizes continued excellence in interdisciplinary developmental science post PhD. This early career award is focused specifically on the continued realization of the objectives of LIFE in the candidate's independent research career.

Abigail Williams-Butler, UM alumna, now Assistant Professor at the School of Social Work, Rutgers University, USA, has been honored with the award in 2025.
