Flavia Pfister
LIFE Fellow since 2025, University of Zurich
I am a PhD student at the University of Zurich, affiliated with the Department of Developmental Psychology: Infancy and Childhood, as well as the Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development. My research focuses on how temperament relates to motor and language development in infancy and early childhood. Additionally, I am interested in how environmental factors, such as siblings or the parental relationship, impact children’s development. For my research, I use data collected via the Pebbles App (formerly kleineWeltentdecker App), a developmental diary app designed for caregivers.
Regarding my background: after completing a commercial apprenticeship and obtaining the general adult baccalaureate, I earned both my Bachelor’s and my Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Zurich. Now I am excited to embark on my PhD journey, expanding my knowledge and contributing to research on early childhood development.
