Anshita Singh

Anshita Singh is a 4th-year PhD candidate in Community Psychology at the University of Virginia. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Delhi, India. Her research focuses on social cognition through a social justice lens, with an emphasis on the cognitive factors that shape critical consciousness development in youth in educational spaces. In addition to her research, she engages in community-facing work, including co-creating a podcast on the hidden curriculum in graduate education and supporting ethical data analysis for community organizations. Through the LIFE program, Anshita hopes to deepen her training in longitudinal and neuroscientific methodologies to further expand her research.
