The LIFE Outstanding Alumni Award is an annual award for LIFE alumni that recognizes continued excellence in interdisciplinary developmental science post PhD. This early career award is focused specifically on the continued realization of the objectives of LIFE in the candidate's independent research career.

Thomas Talhelm, UVA alumnus, now Associate Professor of Behavioral Science, University of Chicago Booth School of Business, USA, has been honored with the award in 2024.
