Program

Preliminaries

  1. Lectures are expected to be 25–30 minutes in length to allow sufficient time for discussion and fellow involvement (20–25 min.).
  2. Discussion openings (2–3 min.) are meant to focus on one or two points to illustrate lifespan or life-course implications. Discussants will then moderate the discussion, giving fellows the opportunity to ask questions or comment first.
  3. Moderators of dissertation presentations are responsible for organizing and leading the consultation input and for summarizing the main points of the suggestions advanced.
  4. Fellows presenting their research are advised to ask a co-fellow to take notes during the discussion.
  5. In the poster session fellows will first give a 3-minute blitz PPT presentation; questions will be possible after all talks are completed. This is followed by the more traditional poster presentation format, with all presenters ready for discussion at their posters.
  6. Presenters and discussants — Please keep to the allocated time to allow general discussion!
